Who has used your services in the past?
We have had both consumer and business clients for our services. Many of our thank you note writing service clients who are consumers are newlyweds, new parents, and new grads. We also have had a number of mother-of-the-brides hire us as a gift for their daughters. Typically our client is someone who knows the value and importance of saying thank you in a timely way, but simply doesn’t have the time to write thank you notes. A number of our clients are in high pressure jobs or in college or graduate school.
Is your thank you note writing service really a time saver?
Yes, we believe it is. Our process involves only five steps and we take on most of the creative and production burden. All we ask you to do is complete a one-page form and add a few fields to your contact list. We request certain categories of information and then use this and details about your event to create your personalized thank you notes. The process is similar for our business clients, but doesn’t require as much personalization. Once we are done, all you have to do is seal the thank you notes (unless you’ve asked us to do this for you) and mail them.
What do you mean by “personalized, handwritten thank you notes?” Are they really personalized?
They are. They have different notes in each based on the information you give us. Each is handwritten and the envelope is hand addressed. We even keep an eye out to make sure that people who went together on the same gift don’t get the same thank you note, and that those in the same house get different notes. We might pay more attention to these details than even you would if you wrote the notes!
Can I provide my own thank you notes? What do you do with the extras?
Yes. We will create or order stationery items for you, or perform our service using the materials you provide to us. We encourage you to place your order with us, because we offer you a discount on the printing. We understand, however, that not everybody wants to do things this way. We ask that you send extra of everything—just in case we need them. Any left over thank you notes, envelopes, invitations, etc. are returned to you at the completion of the job.
How long does it take for your services?
That depends on the service. We typically turn most thank you note writing jobs around in three weeks or less. The same is true for our addressing and assembly services. Our calligraphers like as much advance notice as they can have since their craft is quite time-consuming. Likewise, we like to give as much notice as possible to our graphics team whenever you are considering having something custom designed and made for you. The best rule of thumb is to assume 3 to 4 weeks for all of our services, and then ask about timing when you request a quote.
Are your services really anonymous?
No, not all of them. In fact, we’d like it if our customers talked more about all of our services. The one that we promise is anonymous is our thank you note writing service. Although we don’t think it matters who says thank you, conventional thinking hasn’t evolved that far yet. Our thank you note customers take comfort in knowing that we won’t tell who they are or that they have hired us to write their thank you notes for them. We have a list of customer testimonials, which we invite you to read, but you will notice we don’t give names. We keep secrets!
How extensive is your line of invitations?
It is pretty large when you consider that Carlson Craft and Stylart
have pretty big invitation lines. You can find everything from wedding invitations, to graduation announcements, to party invites and even holiday cards suitable for individual or business use. Brides who order wedding invitations through That’s Gratitude along with their thank you notes and our thank you note writing service, get 15% off the price of all of their printing. The same is true for new grads, new parents, and businesses. Is it cost effective to custom design and print something?
Yes, it can be. A lot depends on what you want and what your quantity needs are. Invitations, announcements, save-the-date cards, change of address cards, postcards, brochures, post-it-notes, notepads, posters and banners are just some of the items that can all be printed affordably in small quantities, and even more affordably in large. Tell us what you are after. We’ll discuss the design, type of paper, printing options and give you a price.
Can I order your services and not order your thank you note writing service?
Absolutely! That’s Gratitude is unique in that we offer a very specialized service and have done so longer and better than anyone else, but thank you note writing isn’t our only service. We have customers who come to us for calligraphy, favor items, invitations, or custom-created programs and who have no interest in thank you notes.
Do you write thank you notes for families that have recently lost a loved one?
Yes. We do not get approached often for thank you notes following the passing of a family member, but it is a service we offer. The type of note we write in this instance is solemn, respectful and appreciative. We are happy to help you acknowledge donations, flowers, prayer cards and other gestures during your family’s difficult time.
What happens to my e-mail address if I request a quote or more information?
If you ask to be on our e-mail list, we’ll stay in touch with you. If not, know that we do not share it with anyone.
Can I pay by check?
Yes. We accept personal and business checks. We require those paying by personal check to also provide us with their credit card information as a back up source of funding. That’s Gratitude accepts VISA, MasterCard and Paypal transactions.
What are your hours?
